Opened in 1958 by Robert and Louise, this inn with a very country spirit, located right in the trendy Marais district, is now run by their daughter Pascale and her partner François. Exposed beams, a fireplace and vaulted cellar provide a warm atmosphere where traditional, simple cuisine with that French touch (snails, leg of lamb, grilled sausage, foie gras) is celebrated with warmth and generosity. To take advantage of this quality cooking over a wood fire, go for the prime rib (cooked on the grill) for 2 priced at 46 € or a nice steak accompanied by potatoes and vegetables of the day, and don’t forget to water your meals with a Côte Chalonnaise or Corbières wine at 5 € per glass. Remember to make a reservation because there are few available tables. On weekdays, the lunch menu at 14 € is a great deal.
