The Château de Versailles

Royal residence of the kings of France, Louis XIV, Louis XV and Louis XVI, Versailles is a vast area situated just outside of Paris. Until the French Revolution, kings succeeded each other in the Castle, each in his turn embellishing it.

The main castle houses the royal apartments, the Hall of Mirrors, the Chapel, the Royal Opera House and the Museum of the History of France.

In the park you will find the famous fountains, the Grand Canal, statues but also two magnificent buildings: the Grand Trianon (a small pink marble palace that housed the other loves of Louis XIV, but was also was the residence of Louis Napoleon 1st XVIII, Charles X, Louis-Philippe I, and Napoleon III) and the Petit Trianon (domain of Queen Marie Antoinette, a rustic and simple place away from the pomp of the court where there are houses, gardens and animals).

“It was a garden before a castle, a feast before a garden, a night before a thousand suns.  If you want to understand what Versailles, one must first walk through its gardens“.

Every year demonstrations and unique water games take place in the castle gardens, rand fountains are a place where demonstrations and shows of unique water games take place during the summer months, bringing back memories of the splendor of the court.
