Tuileries garden

113 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris

Before becoming the place of relaxation, open to all, that it is today, the Tuileries Gardens was reserved for the royal family and the court. In 1664 André Le Nôtre, the famous royal gardnener shaped the garden to give it its French garden style that endures until today. Today, everyone can enjoy , without restriction, the 23 hectares of the area for walking and culture. However, even the garden is synonymous with relaxation and calm, many events embellish this place adding novelty and charm. For example, the famous Tuileries Festival takes place from June to August and is perfect for a family outing. On the program: cotton candy, rides and thrills!
On the side of culture, the garden, next to the Orangerie Museum, is not to be outdone and is a true “outdoor museum” ; it hosts more than 200 statues of all ages, including twenty sculptures by the famed sculptor Aristide Moillol. This artistic dimension to this truly Parisian garden is reaffirmed every fall, when Tuileries become the home of an international contemporary art fair. Also, twice a year, fashion aficionados come here navigate the week of Parisian fashion, and enjoy parades in the garden. You have hundreds of reasons to return to the Tuileries!
