It is said, sometimes, that meat that is so tender you can even cut it with a fork. In Il Prezzemolo, the pizzas are so thin you can cut them with scissors which you’ll find on each table beside your forks and knives. Il Prezzemolo is probably one of the best pizzerias in Paris where you can enjoy real “Roman” pizza with thin and crispy crust and topped with delicious, fresh ingredients. The pizzaiolo is a true Roman and the Chef is Calabrian. There are two adjoining entrances: one on the right provides access to the trattoria grocery store of the same name where are cooked meals and pastas and where it also sells typical Italian products of quality; the left one door is for when you want pizza. In the pizzeria (left door), avoid the table at the entrance to avoid being bothered by the comings and goings of the servers between the two restaurants especially as the room is not very big and has, therefore, small tables. The wine list also offers wine coming from delicious Italian producers. Antipasti appetizers are excellent (San Daniele ham, Roman artichokes, Reggiano parmesan on a bed of arugula) including the All’Italiana (mixed cold cuts, marinated in Bruschettine fresh tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella Campagna, grilled vegetables ). The portions are generous and delicious. The decor is quite modern with indoor background of an old movie projection in black and white, with the famous Italian comedian Toto promoting a warm ambience. The service is overall friendly. On the menu are thirty pizzas around € 15 on average. For dessert, you could end with a homemade Tiramisu. Booking is recommended.
