In opening Le Terroir Parisien, the chef Yannick Alleno took to heart highlighting the agricultural terroir of Ile de France. The recipes are revisited favorites with a contemporary twist and “forgotten” vegetables are honored. Black pudding and creamy mashed potatoes or beef fillet with bearnaise sauce and hand-cut shoestring fries are all cleverly revisited bistro “classics”. The must-have of the house is of course a creation of the chef. Hot Veal, the Parisian gourmet version of the hot dog, is a unanimous favorite. For dessert, try the Brioche “Nanterre”, vanilla ice cream or the famous Paris-Brest. A true declaration of love to the cuisine of Ile de France, this stylish bistro with chic and sober decoration, is often very busy. It is recommended to make a reservation in order to sample its delights.
