Rodin Museum

79 Rue de Varenne - 75007 Paris

Before becoming the first exhibition of the works of Auguste Rodin in 1919, the prestigious Hotel Biron was already a center of French artistic life. The building first served as a workshop for Rodin and Jean Cocteau, and as if it was predestined to become one of the most important museums in France, it is now home to more than 6600 sculptures. Through an exhibition that brings together almost 7000 artifacts, 8,000 drawings, and as many photographs, the Rodin Museum promotes diversity since the artist was also a collector. The building features timeless works; the genius of the artist, whose talent exceeded the standards of his time, is visible by the genuine artistry in each of his works.
The exhibition takes you through the garden of over three hectares of woodland, where Rodin’s statues are arranged. In this highly artistic setting, one can enjoy the fresh air at the edge of ponds near the cafeteria. It’s everything you need for a wonderful outing!
